If you arrive by bus or train, the nearest station is the Gare de Québec (terminus du Palais) at 450 rue de la Gare-du-Palais. It’s a fifteen-minute walk up the hill to the Auberge. The 800 bus route can take you to Place D’Youville, which is a five-minute walk from the hostel.
If you’re arriving by plane, there’s a flat-rate cab fare from the airport to downtown. Ask your driver about it when you get in.
Québec City’s public transit service is provided by the RTC www.rtcquebec.ca and the Nomade app gives you real-time information and purchase tickets with your credit card.
Stays of up to a maximum of 30 days are permitted. Our facilities are intended for tourists who come to Quebec for short stays.
The Auberge internationale is located inside the fortifications of the old town and does not offer parking. Here are the paying parking lots within a 5-minute walk: SPAQ at 79 rue Dauphine, SPAQ at 965 rue D’Youville, Parc de l’Esplanade at 60 rue D’Auteuil. Parking fees are approximately $20 per 24 hours. Street parking could also be available. Meters are in function from 9AM to 9PM.
The minimum age for renting a dormitory bed or private room is 18. People under 18 are allowed to sleep in a dormitory if they are accompanied by an adult who books the entire dormitory.
Only service animals are allowed on the premises, and in private rooms only.
We offer a continental breakfast every morning, between 7 and 10 am. You’ll find bagels, toast, cereal, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, coffee, juice, jam, peanut butter and cream cheese.
Our rooms and dormitories are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors respectively, while the dining room, communal kitchen and bar are in the basement. Unfortunately, there is no elevator in the building. You must use the stairs.
Rooms and dormitories are available from 4pm. The latest check-out time is 11am. If you wish to arrive earlier or leave later, you can store your belongings in the luggage room and use the common areas.
Each dormitory is equipped with an electronic lock to which only you and the other occupants have the key. A locker (which can hold at least one backpack) is assigned to you in your room. If you don’t have a padlock, we sell them at reception.
The Auberge internationale de Québec will only collect the personal information required to complete your reservation, ensure the smooth running of your stay and monitor your satisfaction with your stay: name, e-mail address, home address, year of birth, telephone number, credit card number to guarantee your reservation, as well as the parameters of your reservation. By making a reservation, you implicitly authorize Auberge internationale de Québec to use the information provided.
Auberge internationale de Québec will use your personal information for operational purposes in order to carry out its activities. Please note that certain information, such as country of origin, age and gender, may be used for statistical purposes.
Please do not send credit card information by e-mail. Credit card information should only be communicated by telephone or via the online booking module on our website.
In accordance with applicable laws, we can provide you, upon request, with a digital copy of the personal information we have collected about you. Any inaccurate information may be modified at your request.
We wish to comply with the provisions of the Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information in the private sector, also known as Law 25, by designating Marie-Andrée Brochu, General Manager, as our Privacy Officer. Internal policies and computer parameters are in place to protect your personal information and ensure its security. In addition, access to your personal information is restricted to employees who need it to perform their duties. This information is not sold or made public and cannot be transmitted without your consent. However, your consent is implied in the event of an emergency, if requested by the authorities (police, ambulance, fire department, etc.). It may also be communicated to the accounting firm responsible for our financial audit and to any government body requesting it.
When you browse our website, cookies store information about your preferences or actions you have taken in order to optimize your experience and facilitate your navigation. Your IP address, your browsing preferences (language, for example) and certain information about your device or operating system may be collected to help us improve your online experience.
